I Love You, Grandpa is a story about a grandfather’s relationship with his grandson. Joey is a bright, energetic eight-year-old who enjoys visiting his grandparents once a month or every other weekend. His grandparents also enjoy having him over. In a very subtle and gentle way, Grandpa is teaching Joey valuable life lessons. He wants Joey to be able to appreciate the value of being able to work with his hands and the importance of teamwork as a family. A great deal can get accomplished when the work is done with patience and love. Grandpa also taught his grandson the beauty of prayer. Grandpa’s father taught him to pray, and Grandpa taught his son, Joey’s father, to pray, and he feels very proud that Joey appreciates and understands the importance of prayer in their lives. I Love You, Grandpa is story about how precious it is to have loving grandparents and the joy that grandparents experience with their grandchildren, especially a grandfather and their grandsons. That invisible bond that lasts forever even after the grandfather is long gone. The traditions, the family values the love that remains in the heart forever.
