Samantha Vagus, a woman of ruthless determination and ability, and her friend Kelly, a man who hasn't met a technology he didn't love, are just like you and me when we decide its time to change careers: bright, energetic, enthusiastic, and optimistic, except without the optimism part. Yeah, no optimism. You see, they've been working for the U.S. government doing ugly and unpleasant things they don't want to do anymore. Unfortunately, the U.S. government isn't keen on extending health insurance to its former employees. Quite the opposite. Understandably, this upsets our heroes, who take matters into their own hands. Well, Samantha does, anyway. Kelly is often appalled. Stuffed with reality, like people who actually die when shot and don't keep moving like some immortal strain of human virus. Also some wit, and not a little love, too. "What every woman needs - a gun of her own."
