Pierino Ronald "Perry" Como, born on May 18th, 1912, Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, U.S., just outside of Pittsburgh, was a singer, actor and TV personality. During his career spanning over half a century Perry recorded exclusively for RCA Victor for 44 years, after signing with the label during 1943. Nicknamed 'Mr. C.', Como sold many millions of records, having pioneered a weekly musical variety TV show, which along with seasonal specials was broadcast throughout the world. Perry's life was summed up as: "50 years of music and a life well lived. An example to all," within the official RCA Records Billboard magazine memorial.
