At the tender age of six, Autumn Brown's life seems to be everything a child could dream of. She's an only child, she lives in a mini mansion, and she has two loving parents. Besides a pony, what else could a girl want? Suddenly, a brutal storm arrives and causes the untimely death of her parents. From that moment forward, Autumn's life takes a tragic turnaround, and here the journey of pain and tribulation begins her "storm." After her aunt and uncle squander away her inheritance, Autumn is left behind to be raised by her ailing grandmother. When she ultimately becomes too ill to care for Autumn, she is then forced to grow up fast as she is tossed to and from foster home. As a teen, she encounters rape, and other negative influences. By the time she reaches sixteen, she drops out of school, becomes a runaway, a stripper, and finally the head of an escort service by the time she reaches twenty-one. Once she appears to be at her pinnacle, tragedy strikes again and causes her to lose everything she had built up. This time, it takes the love and support from a man that teaches her how to love herself, and to give her life to Christ. As her journey takes a turn for the better, she is forced to deal with some ghosts from her past. Autumn learns to truly trust and depend on God as her life and the life of others literally depends on it, thus confronting her fear of "storms."
