The Vietnam War, as with any war, was difficult not only for the soldiers but for their families back home. For those that serve in the military, the war never ends. The memories-bad and good-always remain. While some manage to find a way to live with those memories, others choose to end their lives to find peace.Instead, this book is dedicated to those who made the ultimate sacrifice-who gave their lives-on the battlefield. Those service men and women are the real heroes. My sole reason for writing this book was to attack, head-on, memories of Vietnam that have come back to ambush me after more than forty-five plus years. This story will serve as a catharsis to veterans whose experiences were similar to those of the author and as importantly a glimpse of understanding for those of us who did not serve. An important tribute to those who served in Vietnam.
