THE LADY LUCK: STORY OF THE USS LST-864 is a photographic history of a single United States Navy amphibious landing ship, the USS LST-864, commissioned for service in the Pacific theater of the action against Japan during World War II, as viewed through the eyes of the men who served aboard her. Their experiences are documented by a collection of 213 photographs and 37 documents saved by crewmen themselves during and after the war.
