As an ex-professional boxer, Ronnie Callaghan divides his time between market trading, when it suits him, and running a boxing gym. As a result, Callaghan is soon drawn into a web of deceit in the heart of the criminal underworld: controlled racketeering, fronted by crime baron Terry Winters. The life of a gangster, however, is rarely a quiet one. Once a turf war erupts, the gruesome services of a professional hitman, Enrico Maniela, are called into play. With the stakes high and everything to lose, Winters will stop at nothing to contain what’s left of his crumbling empire. As for Callaghan, it seems inevitable that he and his hated rival Paul Rossetti are destined to share the same grim destiny. Can Callaghan, with the help of his lifelong friend and mentor Siddie Levy, ever find a way to escape with his life? There can only be one winner…
