HELL'S HIGHWAY was first published in 1989 as a hardcover. With the eyewitness, first person accounts of 612 individuals, the author has compiled this gripping story of the 101st Airborne Division's role in "Market-Garden" & the continuing actions up on the Island west of Arnhem, Holland. Stories came from parachutists, glider troopers, troop carrier crew members, Dutch underground, Dutch citizens & one British Airborne Corps cryptographer who flew with the 101st Airborne Division. The stories, including material from diaries & unit logs as well as letters written from hospital beds during recuperation, were fitted together like the pieces of a giant jigsaw puzzle. George Koskimaki served as a radioman to the division commander, General Maxwell D. Taylor & parachuted with him into Normandy & Holland. The book contains excellent maps, rare pictures & is completely indexed. To order, write 101st Airborne Division Association, P.O. Box 101, Bentonville, OH 45105.
