The Dictionary of International Biography reflects contemporary achievements in every profession and field of interest within as many countries as possible. It is an ever-growing reference source since only a few biographical entries are repeated from edition to edition, and only when they have been updated with important new material. In this way each new edition adds thousands of new biographies to those already published in the series; to date more than 200,000 biographies have been presented from information supplied and checked by those individuals who are featured.
