It provides documentation of the biostratigraphic ranges and palaeoecological significance of the larger foraminifera, which is essential for understanding many major oil-bearing sedimentary basins. In addition, it offers a palaeogeographic interpretation of the shallow marine late Palaeozoic to Cenozoic world. Marcelle K.
