"Despite the reliance on groundwater in the Ti-Tree Basin, relatively little information is known about the deeper aquifers. This is despite information suggesting that the Ti-Tree Basin is (in places) infilled to depths of at least 320 metres with sediments, including hydraulically conductive sand-richlayers. The deeper successions were encountered by initial government drilling programs (Edworthy,1967) and some early mineral exploration (O’Sullivan, 1973) ... Following initial data evaluation, new research in the Ti-Tree Basin for this study focused on better understanding the nature of the deeper aquifer."--P. iii.
It is fully anticipated that this book will serve as the first addition of a series on groundwater resources of the world and their use.
Current manuals and technical books on ground water hydrology contain relatively little specific information on ground water in hard rocks areas, that is mainly igneous and metamorphic rocks of the...
The aim of this book is to document for the first time the dimensions and requirements of effective integrated groundwater management (IGM).
Managing aquifer recharge: A Showcase for Resilience and Sustainability
The Role of Sound Groundwater Resources Management and Governance to Achieve Water Security
Interest in the use and development of our Nation's surface - and ground-water resources has increased significantly during the past 50 years. This work discusses field techniques for estimating water fluxes.
In spite of its paramount importance, the issue of 'Climate Change and Groundwater' has been neglected. This volume presents some of the current understanding of the topic.
A thorough overview of gravity-driven groundwater flow, illustrated with practical examples, from one of the founding fathers of the field.
This book is a printed edition of the Special Issue "Environmental Tracers" that was published in Water
This volume presents the latest research related to the current water situation, as well as its significance for the peaceful coexistence of the neighbouring countries.
