To help the Royal Commission with its work, this literature review was commissioned to investigate the use and effectiveness of restorative justice approaches in child sexual abuse cases. It reviews Australian and international research on how extensively restorative justice is employed, evidence supporting its use in child sexual abuse or comparable cases, issues and criticisms which have arisen, and considerations for its use in institutional child sexual abuse cases.
Bringing together contributors from across a range of jurisdictions, disciplines and legal traditions, this edited collection provides a concise, but critical review of existing theory and practice in restorative justice.
