Description

I spent this past year taking photos in memory of my husband Charles Harlan, to whom this book is dedicated. Charles was the love of my life. He knew the joy it brought to my heart to take pictures. Charles loved my photos. He was my biggest fan. I loved him and I miss him. He will always have a special place is my heart. On my birthday, June 2010 he bought me a new Nikon camera. He passed away three months later. After that, my desire to take pictures passed as well. In late October 2010, while spending the day with two of our granddaughters. I knew it was time to start taking photos again. In this book you will see the photos I took that day, as well as many more. As I took these photos my heart was breaking as I was longing to be with Charles. I took many photos of the sky in hopes God would split the sky wide open just so I could see him, see his beautiful smile once more. I could almost feel his presence; feel his arms around me, feeling him right behind me pushing me on. I can't put into words the feelings in my heart and soul that day and how every fl owing tear was full of pain. I want to share my photos with others in hopes they might experience the healing God gave me through my photos and his words. If sharing this book can bring healing to one person, I will have accomplished one of the many dreams God has given me. Another dream of this book is to help others look at the dreams God has given them, that they can take a step of faith by asking God to direct them to fulfi ll their dreams. My prayer was to be like Peter and step out of the boat with enough faith knowing God would help me to accomplish this dream He put in my heart. I love the high I get as I take pictures of Gods beauty. I can't put His true beauty on these pages like one can see with the naked eye. But with our imagination, the photos and His words, you will almost feel the beauty He has given and the love he has in his heart for us.
