Comme toutes les grandes idées qui ont changé le cours de l'humanité, l'idée messianique a son histoire. C'est cette histoire que Mireille Hadas-Lebel, professeur émérite de l'université Paris-Sorbonne, s'attache à reconstituer ici en revisitant l'interprétation des textes fondateurs ainsi que d'autres écrits anciens moins connus qui expriment cette espérance.
