La question est soulevée une nouvelle fois par la publication des notes personnelles du philosophe réunies dans les fameux Cahiers noirs et parues à titre posthume en Allemagne l'année dernière. Comment lire et que faire de l’héritage de Heidegger après les révélations de ces Cahiers noirs ? La question fait l’objet d’un débat passionné dans le monde philosophique. Mais ce numéro spécial n’entend pas traiter uniquement des rapports de Heidegger avec le fait juif, ni, davantage, de son antisémitisme. Il s’agit de considérer ou de reconsidérer la figure de l'un des philosophes les plus considérables du XXème siècle et de poser la question : en quoi et pourquoi le judaïsme demeure-t-il pour Heidegger de l’ordre d’une dette impensée ? La fascination de nombreux philosophes français tels Sartre, Levinas ou Derrida pour le penseur allemand a-t-elle fait son temps ? Et faudrait-il, comme le plaident certains, renoncer à lire Heidegger ? Ce numéro spécial reprend l'essentiel des contributions au colloque qui s'est tenu à Paris, à la BNF et au Centre Culturel irlandais, les 22, 23, 24 et 25 janvier 2015.
