Troisième volet de recherches menées à l'échelle mondiale sur deux thèmes du droit pénal qui concernent la communauté internationale tout entière : la criminalité économiqueet les atteintes à la dignité de la personne. Un premier tome, sous la responsabilité de Mireille Delmas-Marty, privilégiait le droit français et donnait des informations sur d'autres pays d'Europe, comme l'Allemagne, la Grande-Bretagne, l'Italie et la Suisse. Le deuxième ouvrage analysait les deux thèmes choisis dans la perspective du droit pénal chinois. Le cas des pays d'Asie (principalement Hong-Kong, le Japon, la Thaïlande, le Viêt-nam, la Corée du Nord et la Corée du Sud) est abordé ici.
