Annie, Juliette et Jeff retournent dans l'autre monde. La première veut aller à Shangai, près de l'endroit où Pang Wing et ses hommes avaient découvert le repaire de Bevira Li. Juliette se rendra à Hong Kong, pour voir ce qu'il est advenu du tatoueur Bong Yen Tao. Enfin Jeff ira à Naples tenter de retrouver la fille d'Angelo Calabrese. Grâce à de vieux talkies-walkies, les trois amis peuvent communiquer entre eux. De leurs destinations respectives, ils se rendent tous en Grèce où le vilain Pang Wing, serviteur du dieu Xéros, est doué d'un certain don de se reproduire lui-même (il devient un triple Pang Wing). Il compte "multiplier" Annie.
