Wenn einst Mythen und Religionen die weltbildende Funktion der Orientierung lieferten, diese in der säkularisierten Moderne zunehmend von den Wissenschaften übernommen wurde, sollte angesichts eines vielgestaltigen Kontroll- und Legitimationsverlustes rationaler Praktiken und Weltbilder über eine neue Basis für eine universal akzeptable Entwicklungsphase der Menschheit nachgedacht werden.
