Darauf befindet sich der Teil einer uralten Beschwörung, die so gefährlich ist, dass sie einst in drei Teile zerrissen und an verschiedenen Orten aufbewahrt wurde. Unterwegs trifft Yumeko den Samurai Tatsumi, der auf der Suche nach eben jener Pergamentrolle ist. Gemeinsam setzen sie ihren Weg fort. Tatsumi weiß nicht, dass Yumeko hat, wonach er sucht. Yumeko weiß nicht, dass Tatsumi ein Geheimnis hütet, das sie beide umbringen könnte. Und beide ahnen nicht, dass sie sich niemals ineinander verlieben dürfen.
