Ein Teil der Beiträge beschäftigt sich mit Themenbereichen der intra- und interlingualen Übersetzung unter besonderer Berücksichtigung sprachlich-struktureller Phänomene. Unter dem Stichwort Mehr als nur Sprache behandelt ein weiterer Teil Übersetzen und Dolmetschen für zielkulturelle Adressaten unter professionellem Blickwinkel. Darüber hinaus gehen weitere Beiträge nicht nur auf die Translation im Medienverbund Sprache - Musik - Bild, sondern auch auf die besondere Rolle nicht-sprachlicher Elemente ein.
