La globalización ha generado una intensificación de la movilidad a través de las fronteras sin precedentes, lo que conlleva transformaciones en el significado de los límites e imaginarios nacionales. En consecuencia, cada vez más discursos narrativos y críticos en los últimos años han planteado, paralelamente a la exigencia de una perspectiva más amplia para interpretar el conjunto de la literatura hispanoamericana, la superación de los cajones de sastre epistemológicos nacionales en el estudio de esta literatura. Este libro estudia las transformaciones de la literatura hispanoamericana actual y da buena muestra de en qué medida las fronteras nacionales han venido volviéndose porosas o, más bien, cómo la noción de frontera ha mutado y se ha imbricado en mayor o menor medida con toda realidad susceptible de ser narrada.
