Based in southern California, Morphosis is headed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Thom Mayne. Photographer Yukio Futagawa visited two exceptional private homes designed by the firm and located in California. Completed in 1991 and 1997, respectively, the Crawford and Blades residences successfully combine domestic spatial quality and everyday life with the pure formal philosophy of Morphosis.
