Symboliquement à mi-pente entre la zone côtière de la mer Rouge et les hauts plateaux du sud-ouest de l'Arabie Saoudite se trouve le village de Rijal. L'anthropologue Thierry Mauger a mis en lumière une part d'ombre de l'imaginaire collectif de ce village, en explorant dans toutes ses splendeurs l'art mural exceptionnel exercé par les femmes. L'artiste peintre Magali Jeantelot quant à elle a manifesté son talent en ressuscitant cet art et en le sublimant.
