Sus tres pequeños poemarios tratan de transmitir esa paz interna que se obtiene después de la ardua tarea del autoconocimiento, pero a la vez representan la inquietud de lo no encontrado, lo añorado y lo extrañado, con ambientes por demás sencillos, llenos de paz, tranquilidad y pureza, sus escritos evocan los idilios de infante, la búsqueda de un ser especial que sólo existe en uno mismo y que nunca llega a hacerse real. Tópicos de amor, soledad, sueños y muerte encuentran lugar en la pluma de Dávila, quien los intenta describir con una presteza inigualable.
