También comprende temas de interés como la regulación y otorgamiento de patentes de invención; registros de modelos de utilidad, diseños industriales, marcas, y avisos comerciales; la publicación de nombres comerciales; declaración de protección de denominaciones de origen, y regulación de secretos industriales; la sociedad mercantil que es una agrupación pactada de personas, que constituyen una unidad distinta de sus individuos, con el fin de cumplir, mediante la mutua cooperación, fines pertenecientes al comercio. Los capítulos que conforman esta obra incluyen casos prácticos y lecturas, con el fin de facilitar su aprendizaje.
