En los últimos años, el concepto de "perdón" ha adquirido una relevancia especial en el ámbito jurídico de las negociaciones y los acuerdos de paz luego de un conflicto violento. No obstante, su empleo ha generado muchas controversias, pues no termina de quedar claro en qué sentido el perdón puede ser materia de decisiones colectivas. El perdón es una experiencia humana honda y compleja que se exhibe diferentes rostros, conceptuales o metafóricos, no solo el jurídico ya mencionado, sino también muchos otros, iluminados por diferentes disciplinas. Y, actualmente, existe, además, una conciencia moral más desarrollada que nos obliga a considerar, en forma más literal, la experiencia y los rostros de las víctimas que padecieron injusticias. Este libro recoge las reflexiones de diferentes profesionales interesados en dilucidar el sentido y las dimensiones del perdón en un coloquio internacional organizado por la Confederación Mundial de Instituciones Universitarias Católicas de Filosofía (COMIUCAP), el instituto de Democracia y Derechos Humanos y el Centro de Estudios Filosóficos de la PUCP.
