Bu nedenle devrim öncesini ele almadan devrim hakkında adaletli bir fikre varmanın kolay olmadığından hareketle öncelikle Kaddafi dönemine ışık tutmaya çalıştık. Burada bütün Libya tarihini ele almak elbette bu kitabın sınırlarını aşacağından devrim öncesi döneme genel anlamda göz gezdirmeyi tercih ettik. Ardından devrimin nasıl başladığı nasıl bir süreç izlediği ve sonrası ile ilgili ulaşabildiğimiz bilgileri o günlerde oldukça yaygın olan dezenformasyon ve propagandadan eleyerek bir araya getirdik.
