阿特諾在大學服務學習課程前往照護機構，遇到從高中後便疏離的男同志前死黨麥憂，認識了他的聽障語障男友以及跨性別女性小朱——做為異性戀男性的阿特諾，即使知道自己的想法或許是不良的，但他就是看著麥憂，忍不住會想，如果他不是同志該有多好？小朱真的是女生嗎？

失蹤父親對他的教育、社會對異性戀男性的想像，每當阿特諾想要伸手擁抱麥憂、想要靠近小朱，就像是有尖刺朝他腦中狠敲。他感覺全世界都在阻止他，在斥責他每一種不友善不進步的想法，明明有那麼多證據證明男人就應該活成怎樣，為什麼他現在會對那些證據這麼懷疑？

他究竟應該怎麼和自己和解？

「我想觀察這個角色是如何和那些「不正確的人」相處，如何理解差異，如何正視自己的情緒根源，並且逃出那個總是著火的屋子——或許這是一本寫給異性戀的書，給那些理智上知道應該尊重其他性向、性別，支持婚姻平權、非異性戀人權，但偶爾在夜深人靜，一時不察，還是會覺得自己被非異性戀族群剝削，搞不清楚自己應該怎樣在此時此刻當異性戀的人。」??
