Na segunda parte, são apresentados alguns conceitos fundamentais relacionados à espiritualidade e saúde. A terceira parte traz especificidades relacionadas às crenças religiosas e espirituais na esfera da saúde, vislumbrando uma abordagem didática, que esperamos ser útil no dia a dia de profissionais de saúde que atendem a pessoas enfermas num mundo caracterizado pela globalização e dispersão cultural e religiosa. A quarta parte focaliza os diversos cenários de cuidado, desde o nascimento até à morte e o luto. Como ponte para o Volume 2, contamos com um Intermezzo, com reflexões sobre cuidado espiritual, apresentadas por um pesquisador holandês de referência no tema.
