晚明公安派及其现代回响

关注自我、直抒性灵的晚明小品文是中国传统文学的一股清流，它在后世，尤其是20世纪初对中国文化有怎样的影响？本书从袁宏道、公安派与晚明思想及晚明诗文的现代回响三个方面展开。从袁宏道其人开始，讲述他的生平，分析他的个性、行操及思想，再论他的诗文，一个充满矛盾但真诚幽默、“独抒性灵，不拘格套”的公安派领袖人物跃然纸上。借由对其诗文的批判性分析，袁宏道不仅被描述为一位杰出的诗文作家，同时也凸显了他相当的才智与幽默。其中亦评估了公安派对晚明文学的影响，以及它对竟陵派的兴起所起到的作用。袁宏道所代表的公安派注重自我表现的趋向，跨越三百余年，在20世纪初的现代喷涌而出，影响了新文化运动的发展。
