《东汉演义》是一代评书大家连阔如先生的代表作，主要讲述西汉末年王莽篡位后，汉世祖刘秀率领三十六员云台大将兴兵讨莽，攻关斩将，恢复汉室天下；后来更始皇帝即位，奸臣暗害刘秀，光武帝二次中兴汉室的故事。此次出版为《东汉演义》的全本。在国家图书馆于鹏先生的帮助下，曾连载于《戏剧报》的《续东汉》被发现（连载时间1941年2月1日至9月18日），并经贾建国、连丽如、于鹏整理。全书增补十万字，首次完璧呈现《东汉演义》。
