　　這本《中國老年社會學》由張仙橋和李德濱著，是一部從社會學視角觀察和探討中國老年人、老齡化、老齡社會的社會學專著。它從微觀到宏觀、從靜態到動態，即從老年個體的社會地位、角色、社會化，到社會群體、組織、分層、社區，再到社會價值、文化、制度、結構，由此擴展到整個社會靜態系統。然后再從靜態系統延伸到社會互動、調適、控制、變遷、發展這個動態系統。從而勾畫出中國老年社會結構與社會變遷交織的、較為完整的社會系統。全書帶有濃厚的中國特色，注重對中國處理老齡化問題經驗與模式的概括總結，是一部可讀性強的學術著作。
