Description

自殺行為是人類與生俱來的古老現象，與人類如影隨形，在中國歷史上史不絕書。自殺在當今已成為一個嚴重的社會問題和公共衛生問題。在西方歷史上自殺從“犯罪”到“權利”經過了千年之爭。各國的自殺死亡率、人群分佈、自殺手段、時間、場所及人文地理分佈狀況亦有差異。我國女性的自殺問題較為嚴重，尤其是在農村，造成女性自殺的社會文化因素多樣。我國青少年自殺問題也較為嚴重，低齡化問題突出。隨著人口的老齡化，老年自殺已成為一個新的社會問題。自殺行為具有深沉的歷史文化因素，傳統價值觀以及社會文化習俗對自殺行為有著重要影響。佛教、伊斯蘭教、基督教等三大宗教的死亡觀、自殺觀的影響源遠流長。自殺行為的宏觀預防是一項龐大的社會系統工程，自殺的“國家防治策略”具有必要性和可行性。
