吳宏偉主編的《中亞安全與穩定研究》是中國社 會科學院俄羅斯東歐研究所中亞學科2013—2015年創 新項目「中亞國家政治和社會穩定及其發展趨勢」的 *終研究成果。
中亞國家地處中國周邊，是中國西北部安全的重 要屏障，是連接中國與中東、西亞、歐洲的重要陸上 交通走廊，是中國近年來海外投資的重點地區，是中 國推動絲綢之路經濟帶建設的核心區域，是在歷史上 和如今都與中國有着千絲萬縷聯系和利益牽扯的地區 ，因此，中亞地區的安全與穩定對中國至關重要。該 項目的完成和出版也因而*具重要的理論價值和現實 意義。
作者對影響中亞安全和穩定的主要因素進行了深 入分析和探討，着力研究了中亞安全問題與中亞國家 政治體制、經濟發展、社會進步、國際形勢、大國因 素的關系。本書反映了近年來中亞地區安全與社會穩 定的整體現狀與未來可能的發展趨勢，可以為讀者了 解中亞，為中國企業到中亞去發展，為政府有關部門 制定對中亞政策提供重要的參考。
