進入21世紀以來，中國在參與國際制度的進程中逐漸從消極的規則接受者向主動的規則制定者轉變。

全球和地區治理的「中國方案」、「中國倡議」、「中國元素」等在全球和地區合作中開始變得突出起來。基於國際制度設計的有關理論模型，本書通過比較制度分析的方法來提示中國以及相關國家在參與國際合作中所面臨的問題與這些國際合作中所確立的制度形式之間的邏輯關系，從而說明影響相關的國際制度設計的因素以及中國的作用。

田野，中國人民大學國際關系學院教授，國家發展與戰略研究院研究員。主要研究領域為國際政治經濟學、國際制度與國際合作。曾在《經濟研究》、《世界經濟與政治》、《外交評論》、International Political Science Review等期刊上發表學術論文多篇，已出版專著《國際關系中的制度選擇：一種交易成本的視角》和《國家的選擇：國際制度、國內政治與國家自主性》，合著《國際政治經濟學概論》，合編《國際政治學學科地圖》。曾獲全國優秀博士論文提名獎、第十一屆霍英東青年教師基金和第十八屆安子介國際貿易研究獎，並入選北京市社科理論人才「百人工程」和教育部「新世紀優秀人才支持計划」。
