《文化發展論叢》是由湖北大學高等人文學院、中華文化發展湖北省協同創新中心、湖北文化建設研究院編輯的集刊，2013年創刊，每年3期，彙集了國內外文化研究領域的知名學者以及較活躍的中青年學者的最新力作。2017年第2卷圍繞漢字文化圈中的日本漢詩誕生、情感啟蒙運動等人文思潮，以及川劇藝術、後現代文化思潮下的文獻戲劇、中國陶瓷文化等當前文化研究領域的任店問題展開論述，貫通古今中外，層層揭示文化傳播與交流的要義；尤其是對全球化背景下文化傳播交流症候的理論反思，對近代以來中西文化交流史的深層叩問，無不發人深省。“症候分析”欄目希望作者以獨到的眼光，通過文本細讀的方式，努力發現和闡發文化現象隱含的多種悖逆、含混、反常和疑難現象，對文化的“症候”進行價值診斷。“七縱八橫”欄目裡的四篇文章，話題各異：圍棋、樂學、剪紙、還有動漫，在幾位作者的筆下，古老或新潮的話題分明透射出文化發展中與時俱進的新趣味、新體驗和新認知。
