《金瓶梅》是我国明代四大奇书之首。长期以来，这部伟大的小说一直被误读、误评、误传。从清代至当下，从官方到民间，都以“色情”小说目之，并多加禁封。至今大陆书市并无全本刊刻出版。因此，扭转对《金瓶梅》的误识，便成了几代学人的愿望。 曾庆雨教授在《金瓶梅》研究领域精耕细作逾20年，通过对文本深入研读，选取从女性的角度，人性的视野，哲理的阐释，对小说中18位重要的女性形象做出了富有新意的剖析，对家庭与社会中的两性关系问题做出了具有当代意义的阐释。
