“杨雨讲诗词故事”系列图书由《百家讲坛》主讲人，《中国成语大会》《快乐汉语》《见字如面》《中华好诗词》等节目点评专家，中南大学古代文学专业杨雨教授历时三年倾心创作，从先秦到清代的古典诗词中提炼出“品格、智慧、珍惜、情谊、自然”五大主题共一百五十首古典诗词，涵盖了中小学语文课本所收录的诗词，从时代特色、历史背景、诗人身世、创作经历等角度，为青少年讲述蕴藏在古典诗词背后或伟大、或感人、或有趣的故事，呈现中华优秀传统文化中的智慧与内涵、精神与品格。本册“自然卷”分为羁旅行役篇、赠友送别篇、追忆梦境篇和隐居林泉篇四大部分，从历代的经典篇目中选取了三十首与自然相关的诗词，包括李白《早发白帝城》、白居易《忆江南》、秦观《千秋岁》、李清照《如梦令》、纳兰性德《长相思》等，以讲故事的方式，让青少年在祖国的大好河山中领略诗人或词人借景抒情、托物言志的高妙写作手法，以及他们对祖国和人民的热爱、对幸福美好生活的向往。
