Nazywam się Karina Wojciechowska. W 1991 roku zdobyłam tytuł Miss Polonia, a w 1992 tytuł Miss Planet. Moje życie było barwne i pełne historii które, mogą zdarzyć się tylko nielicznym. Aura towarzysząca konkursom piękności, zawsze była i pozostaje nadal tematem plotek, domysłów i skandali. Życie kobiet, królowych jednej nocy, budzi zainteresowanie i ciekawość. Jestem pierwszą Miss Polonią, która napisała książkę utrzymaną w konwencji współczesnej powieści realistycznej, w której autentyzm przeplata się z fikcją literacką. Książka ta opisuje historię życia kobiety, która zaznała sławy, bogactwa, podróży w egzotyczne krainy, życia w świetle jupiterów, ale również strachu, poniżenia i cierpienia. Pokazuje, że wielkie, wspaniałe szanse, jakie dostajemy od losu, mogą przejść obok niewykorzystane lub przerodzić się w nieszczęścia. Codzienność, kłopoty życiowe, historie miłosne, romanse, ważni ludzie, marzenia, podróże, rozczarowania, śmierć, większe i mniejsze dramaty bohaterki, opisane są w barwny sposób. Nie jest to opowieść o „lalce Barbie” czy „infantylnej dziewczynie”, która wzięła udział w konkursie piękności, lecz o zwyczajnej kobiecie. Z tej książki można dowiedzieć się, jak naprawdę wyglądają wybory miss i co taki konkurs daje jego uczestniczkom. Jednak nie jest to opowieść o targowisku próżności, ale historia życia kobiety – byłej Miss Polonia.
