Un oficio, pues, que convierte al traductor en escritor y transforma la traducción en reescritura, en una disciplina creativa cuyo objetivo debe ser impedir la depreciación de la palabra. -- Los catorce traductores que participan en Hijos de Babel ejercen la traducción desde diversos frentes: la poesía, el ensayo, la narrativa, el periodismo o el cómic. Todos ellos traducen al español o al catalán desde distintas lenguas de origen: el inglés, el francés, el italiano, el portugués, el alemán, el polaco, el esloveno, el japonés, del griego, del latín o el turco.
