El origen judeoconverso de Cervantes, la intencionalidad crítica y paródica del Quijote, la vinculación de su autor con el entorno geográfico y social de la montaña, la ribera y la meseta leonesa, así como la influencia de este espacio en la creación literaria cervantina, son elementos fundamentales para entender el Quijote y elaborar un discurso y una nueva iconografía, mucho más sugerente y atractiva que la hasta ahora divulgada. No se trata de destruir nada, sino de defender una interpretación distinta de la vida y la obra de nuestro escritor más universal y reconocido, basada en la lectura atenta y sin prejuicios del texto, huyendo por igual de dogmas academicistas como de conjeturas sin fundamento. El lector descubrirá aquí datos, hechos, indicios y evidencias inexplicablemente ignoradas hasta ahora, a pesar de ser tan reveladores.
