Salvamento y expolio: las pinturas murales del Monasterio de Sijena en el siglo XX narra las vicisitudes sufridas por los frescos de la sala capitular del cenobio oscense, que hasta su incendio en 1936 constituyeron una de las joyas del patrimonio artístico medieval en Europa. También aborda de manera sucinta lo ocurrido con otros conjuntos pictóricos procedentes del mismo monasterio. Se trata de la historia del periodo más duro y desgraciado que vivió Sijena, uno de los monumentos más emblemáticos de Aragón.
