En esta tercera parte del caballero de cuero negro, Sonia, nieta de Raúl, tratará de darnos a conocer el principio y el final de la guerra de la independencia en Gerona, también poner en orden la historia de su tatarabuelo Rubén y su abuelo Raúl. Pero los hechos de la historia peligran cuando Sonia se da cuenta de que se había enamorado de su abuelo Raúl en la época de los asedios cuando estuvo tratando de ayudarle en su viaje. Poniendo difícil el cometido de Rumbo, que tendrá que convencerla de sacar toda la historia a la luz. Sonia solo aceptaría si la trasportaba al pasado para estar con su abuelo Raúl, guardarse el secreto de quien es en realidad y quedarse con él en la época para siempre. Pero Rumbo no estaría dispuesto a concederle semejante ignorancia, entrando en escena Marta, amiga de Sonia desde el colegio. Marta siempre le tuvo envidia por todo cuanto le sucedía a Sonia, Rumbo aprovecharía la oportunidad para convencer a Marta de que sacase ella la historia a la luz, llevándose a su vez, todos los méritos. Entre tanto, la historia de Gerona correría el riesgo de extraviarse, y Rumbo de haber esperado tantos años para nada. ¿Conseguirá Rumbo su propósito...? ¿Lo hará Sonia...? ¿O quizás Marta...?
