Tal como analizo en estas páginas, está plagada de pensamientos que después irá desarrollando y profundizando; presentando en forma embrionaria y de una manera directa y jovial, muchas de sus más transcendentales y representativas ideas. De ahí que desde su edición, análisis y comentario, reivindique categóricamente algo que durante décadas se ha obviado: la unidad de sentido que hilvana toda la obra de D. Miguel. Una unidad de sentido que se desvela al ir rastreando esas ideas desmenuzadas en el estudio de la Conferencia El Derecho y la Fuerza en importantes textos y artículos de su producción posterior, como son los ensayos En torno al casticismo, Nicodemo el fariseo, La fe, Ideocracia, ¡Adentro!, la Vida de Don Quijote y Sancho, el Sentimiento trágico de la vida, la Agonía del cristianismo, hasta llegar a su última novela de San Manuel Bueno, mártir. Pero también, entendiendo que su arquitectura intelectual tiene forma helicoidal, donde los conceptos e ideas fundamentales están ya en sus primerísimas producciones; y de cómo estos se van proyectando y re-interpretando en función de las circunstancias históricas, sociales y culturales que le va tocando vivir.
