El Servicio de Pediatría del Hospital Universitario Marqués de Valdecilla ha elaborado este Manual Práctico de Clínica Pediátrica con el fin de que los alumnos de medicina, enfermería y especialistas puedan aproximarse de una manera protocolizada y actual a la especialidad de Pediatría y sus Áreas Específicas. Se conocerá la patología más frecuente y los procedimientos enfermeros más habituales a través de una lectura ágil y amena. El objetivo de este manual es proporcionar un conocimiento de los temas más prevalentes por lo que consultan los niños y sus familias, teniendo en cuenta sus características específicas. A través de los diferentes capítulos se incidirá en los puntos clave para el manejo de la patología pediátrica y adquiriremos las herramientas necesarias para su estudio, valoración, diagnóstico y tratamiento. Esta obra pretende ser una guía imprescindible para el estudio de la Pediatría y actualización de los profesionales que atienden a niños y adolescentes.
