El lector va conociendo y recorriendo el nuevo mundo junto al protagonista de ésta novela de ficción, quien detalla desde su punto de vista moral y humano las situaciones insólitas en las cuales se va encontrando mientras más se sumerge en este mundo de vampiros. Las personas con las que se cruza, la desconfianza hacia ellas, las necesidades que comienza a padecer y las tareas que debe cumplir como nuevo Adepto, lo llevan a caminar por una cuerda tan floja que todo e vuelve borroso, inestable e intolerable. Inmerso en esta nueva vida, se encontrará ante situaciones límite que deberá resolver sin contrariar su rectitud moral, pero a la vez, sin romper las reglas de ésta perversa sociedad, a la cual le comienza a tener cada vez más desprecio. El escritor nos transporta a una realidad en donde los sucesos transcurren vertiginosamente. Cada frase es una imagen que nos deja en medio de las acciones, frente a frente con los personajes, incitando nuestra curiosidad, lleno de intriga, suspenso y empatía, hasta un final inesperado.
