El libro contiene numerosos ejercicios prácticos y propuestas de ensayo que enfrentan a los estudiantes a una situación similar a aquella en la que con frecuencia se encuentra un investigador: partimos de una pregunta o problema, buscamos evidencias cuantitativas y cualitativas que puedan ser útiles para dar con una respuesta y derivamos la respuesta de una interpretación de dichas evidencias dentro de un marco conceptual.
