El bloque segundo se orienta al estudio de los diversos marcos teóricos que conforman la dirección estratégica de los recursos humanos y al análisis de sus contribuciones principales. Finalmente, en el bloque tercero se profundiza en la evolución a lo largo de varias décadas de investigación de la dirección estratégica de recursos humanos. La obra está orientada fundamentalmente a alumnos de posgrado y de doctorado, y persigue iniciar al estudiante en los principales argumentos teóricos que dan soporte a la disciplina, así como motivarles en el análisis de los mismos a través de preguntas de reflexión y el trabajo en equipo.
