El matrimonio de la señorita Buncle (1936) está dedicada «a quienes disfrutaron con la señorita Buncle y pidieron más». D. E. Stevenson parece hacer suyas, también en esta novela, las palabras de su heroína: «Supongo que no hay nadie normal en el mundo, en ninguna parte».
