(Córdoba, 1954), es Licenciado en Veterinaria por la Universidad de Córdoba y veterinario del Servicio Andaluz de Salud. Compagina su actividad principal, la de especialidad en Mataderos e Industrias Cárnicas, con la de profesor Asociado de Ciencias de la Salud (Nutrición y Bromatología) en la Facultad de Veterinaria de Córdoba. Tras sus primeros pasos en el mundo taurino, actuando profesionalmente en plazas de menor categoría y portátiles, forma parte, desde hace unos quince años, del equipo veterinario de la Plaza de Toros de Córdoba. El mismo se define como torista, amante del toro bravo en su plenitud, un romántico de la raza de lidia. Autor del libro Manual Práctico Veterinario en Espectáculos Taurinos (1998), premio Blas Infante de Estudio e Investigación en Administración Pública, es igualmente colaborador habitual en revistas especializadas. Con ALmuzara editó anteriormente Cómo ver el toro en la plaza.
